About Excel Physical Therapy

The clinic that treats the cause.

Most clinics manage your symptoms and call it a plan. We built this place to end them: one-on-one, with a physical therapist, every single visit.

Our Story

This isn’t our story. It’s yours.

Portrait of Dr. Dhawal Bhanushali, founder of Excel Physical Therapy

Dr. Dhawal Bhanushali, PT, DPT, Founder

Dr. Dhawal Bhanushali earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy through Loma Linda University’s post-professional program. He started his career at a skilled nursing facility in Alexandria, Virginia, where he was promoted to Rehab Director, leading a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists caring for more than 700 residents.

That path led him to Sutter Senior Care’s PACE program, first as Rehabilitation Supervisor, then as Center Manager, providing operational leadership for a program serving more than 400 vulnerable seniors in the community.

His hands-on approach owes as much to his mother, an Ayurvedic therapist for 30 years, as it does to his advanced training in Mulligan and Vestibular therapy techniques. He specializes in orthopedic and neurological conditions, with a particular focus on neck pain, foot pain, shoulder pain, low back pain, and vertigo. The people who do best here are the ones who fix things: their houses, their teams, their families. This is where they finally fix the thing they’ve been putting off: themselves.

What We Believe

Four things we’ll never compromise.

Your hour. Not shared.

No techs bouncing between rooms, no handoffs mid-visit. Just you and a physical therapist, the whole time.

Cause first. Symptoms follow.

You’ve probably chased the pain itself before and never found why it started. We find the why, then the ache stops coming back.

Plans end. That’s the point.

You shouldn’t need a punch card. Every plan comes with a graduation date, so you always know how close you are.

You’re not a protocol.

Your job, your body, your goals: that’s what your plan is built around, never pulled from a generic sheet.

The Difference

Not your typical clinic.

A typical clinic

  • You explain your pain to a different aide every visit
  • Your hour gets split with two other patients
  • The same pain creeps back in a few months
  • No graduation date, just book again next week

Excel Physical Therapy

  • One-on-one with a physical therapist, every visit
  • Your full hour, uninterrupted, every time
  • A cause-first evaluation before we treat anything
  • A plan with an endpoint, mapped out on day one

Feel the difference in your first visit.
